Born in Metairie, Louisiana and raised in Mobile, Alabama, Houston has spent most of his life on the northern edge of the Gulf of Mexico. After graduating from Louisiana State University, with degrees in Latin American Studies and Spanish, Houston attended Emory University School of Law. While at Emory, he was active as a member of the Federalist Society and reached the semifinals of the school’s moot court competition.
Since joining Lundy, Lundy, Soileau & South in 2012, Houston’s primary areas of practice have been commercial and business litigation, as well as maritime law and environmental law. He is licensed to practice before all state and federal courts of Louisiana and all state courts of Texas. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the American Bar Association and the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice, and Louisiana Association for Justice.
Houston and his wife Lauren live in Lake Charles, with their children, Quinn and Elisabeth, and are parishioners of the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in downtown Lake Charles. In his free time, Houston enjoys spending time with his family and friends, supporting LSU athletics, reading and golfing.
